I had to take down my existing shutters and paint them to make a more interesting view of my house. While removing them the fasteners all bent or broke. I had to have new.\r\nThese fasteners were available online, and they were the right price, the right size, and they arrived in a reasonable time.\r\nI now have my shutters up and they make my house stand out.

Q: HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE SHUTTER SPIKE FASTENERS? I WANT TO REMOVE THE SHUTTERS TO PAINT THEM. I WOULD LIKE TO REINSTALL THE SHUTTERS AND REUSE THE SAME SHUTTER SPIKES. IS THIS POSSIBLE WITHOUT DAMAGING THE SHUTTERS OR SPIKES?
A: The spikes will have to be pulled out, you may have to replace them.
