I bought 2 so I could immediately replace the filter with a clean dry one while I hosed off the dirty one and let it dry. So far , so good!

The filter was a 'cut-to-size' which was fine---just seemed a little pricey for the piece but since I had not been able to find a filter to fit and it is washable and supposed to be good for 3-4 seasons...it works!

This filter is the same as would have come with the Coleman model 76##-856 and 79##-856 and some DGAT/M furnaces from the factory when they were new. They will usually last 3-5 seasons with regular cleaning. I know this because I am a mobile home A/C contractor and have used many of these filters over the years. I only wish that I could buy them with the 2 brackets the way that they used to come from Coleman though they are obsolete.

When we first moved in to our mobile home we realized things were a little different then a regular home. We threw away our furnace filter thinking we could just go to the hardware store and buy another one. We were so wrong. I was very happy to find this web site for the Mobile Home Parts Store. Now that I know its here, I may look for other things in the future that may be required for mobile homes. Thank You.

A: depends on the furnace, there should be retainers on the door which holds the filter in place.
