These look the same at first glance, even the Kinro logo is the same, but these are plastic. The 20 year old ones they replaced were metal.

I couldn't believe that I would find the right window latch for a home this old but you had just exactly the right replacement.

These window locks are easy to open and lock. After using them for a while, they will break. Replacing them with a new one is very easy.

The window latch looks and works just like the OEM part. I went to the manufacture website and they didn't sell a 5 yr old part anymore. I was glad to see someone does. Your now book marked for future purchase if needed.

Prefect fit. Wonder why the origanl part self destructed. The new latch did not come with new screws.\r\nOver all satisfied with the new latch.

I had wished that the window lock had come with 2 screws with white painted heads. Please consider.
Possibly better than older metal latch

May possibly hold up better than the older metal latch it replaced, The older metal latches constantly broke off at the thumb lever. The weak link of the new vinyl appears to be the pivot that appears press fit, just have to see the long term results.
