Q: does this tub sit directly on the floor? meaning, does it have the little pegs under the basin of the tub or is flush to the floor?
A: The tub is supported by wood legs.
Q: If we are using this to replace a existing tub in our Mfg home, can we install it without ripping out walls? The exising opening appears to to be about 55 inches wide.
A: You shouldn't have to tear out any walls. The tub can easily fit through the door.
Q: How much space between the floor and the drain or is the drain flush with the floor?
A: 4 inches.
Q: what are the inside dimensions of this tub?
A: Inside dimensions are 50"L x 22"W x 12"D
Q: How much does this tub weigh? Does it have a foam bottom for ease of leveling when installed?
A: This tub weighs approx. 60 lbs. It has wood support legs and base and sits level.
Q: does this tub have an overflow opening or jusr drain only
A: Drain only. No overflow.
Q: Is a right drain on the right side looking at the tub, as in the picture, or is it on the right side if standing in the tub looking out?
A: You determine the drain side by standing in front of the tub as you are about to step in. If the drain is on your left you have a left drain, if it is on your right, you have a right drain and if it is in front of you, a center drain.
Q: What are the dimensions to the center drain location, ie: right or left side of tub to center of drain, back of tub to center of drain.
A: The drain location is 2 1/2" from the back wall of the tub. Since it is a back center drain, it is centered in the length of the tub.
Q: What is a better material ABS or fiberglass??
A: ABS is a type of plastic. Fiberglass is a stronger material.
