Q: Will it stick to tar?
A: Probably, nothing in the instructions indicates that it will not.
Q: Can I put it over shingles?
A: No, this product is for metal roofs.
Q: can I spray paint or roller it on
A: Best to install with brush
Q: How do you prep the surface before applying the product
A: Clean the surface form any debri and it is important to sand off any rust or it will bleed thru the coating.
Q: what is the energy saving rate?is there a manufacturers guarantee,like for 3 years or anything?
A: Saves up to 35% energy. Reflects 90% of sun's rays. When applied with label instructions, will maintain a water tight seal on the roof area upon which it is applied for a period of 5 years.
Q: how long must it go without rain, after application
A: 4 to 6 hours drying time when temperature is above 70 degrees F with low humidity.
Q: Will it stick to OSB?
A: This product is not suitable for direct application on wood-type surfaces.
Q: Can I use Kool Seal� White Elastomeric Roof Coating on EPDM RV roof?
A: No.
Q: Is this a water or oil based product. We are looking at using a rust converter prior to using Kool seal. Thank you
