I ordered a screen spline installer. It will be very handy when our screens are pulled loose from it's holder. I have tried using kitchen knives and all sorts of things to reinstall the gray cord that holds the screens in, I will no longer have that problem. This is what the tool is made for. When I need repair, this will do the trick.

The tool helped to make the job easier

Cheap plastic but it works. OK for occasional use only.

This helped so much for installing the screen into the frame. Much better than using a screw driver and having it slip and tear the screen.

Made installing the spline very easy. It was well worth the price. Without it the installation instructions said to push in the spline with a screw driver. So, yeah, you do not absolutely need this tool. I wrapped some duct tape around the body of the tool to reinforce it. I then rescreened 9 out of 10 of the windows in my singlewide.

The spline installer worked like a charm. Much better than the metal kind which can cause cuts in the screen. Also much better than using a screw driver as the instructions indicate. Worth the money for sure.

This is a must have tool if you are going to replace the screen on any windows.

This tool worked good. You can also use a flathead screwdriver if you need to, but the tool makes it much easier.
