I own and run a plumbing company.\r\nI learned years ago, My company is only as good as the parts I install.\r\nThe 3/4 Insert is a required bushing when adapting 7/8 polybutylene to 3/4 flair-it fittings.\r\nIf you do not use the insert fitting, it will eventually fail and disconnect causing lots of water damage to your customers home.\r\nMobile Home Parts Store had plenty in stock, The transaction was easy,the price was great and the shipping was fast.\r\nThis Insert and the Parts Store come highly recommended.

Q: Does this adapter reduce my 5/8" PB pipe to a 3/4" size?
A: This is not a reducer, it is only used with gray polybutylene pipe because the id is larger than pex.
Q: do I need a adapter for 1/2side of a 3/4 TO3/4 to 1/2 tee
A: You only need the adapter if you have gray pipe and only on the 3/4" side.
