I found this site about 10 years too late!! These vents are really superior to anything else on the market as far as I am concerned. They work, open and close when they should, they are rugged, easy to install and are packed and shipped very well so there is NO damage. One other great thing on the vents is that there is no need for electricity. It is great not having to worry about opening and closing vents anymore. This will really help in the heating and cooling of the home, any home as far as that goes, not just mobile homes.

Excellent quality. However, mounting screws on sides of vent are designed for concrete wall - you can surface mount the vent and then face screw the vent to skirting (I used Hardiplank Bd for skirting).

We bought six of these for our home on a pier foundation with cement board \\\\"skirting\\\\". These vents were super easy to install and they really do open and close with the weather. Here in Montana the weather changes hourly so having them open and close automatically every day is great.

Q: how do you know how many vents are required for your size trailer what formulas do you go by
A: Check with your local inspector for the building code in your area.

A: Fits 8"H x 16"L opening. Outside: 9 3/4"H x 17 1/4"L.
Q: I'm not familiar with "automatic" vents. How do these work? Do these need to be plugged in to a power source?
A: No. They will open and close automatically based on the temperature. The are not powered.
